COVID-19 Protocols For Staff and Families

STGRSD Reopening - COVID-19 Protocols

Face Coverings
The Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District is committed to providing a safe environment as schools reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to public health experts, one of the best ways to stop the spread of coronavirus and to keep members of our school community safe is the use of face masks or face coverings.

Therefore, in accordance with guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), the following requirements are in place until further notice. A face covering that covers the nose and mouth must be worn by all individuals in school buildings, on school grounds and on school transportation, even when social distancing is observed.

UPDATED 5/18/2021: On May 17, 20201, the School Committee has rescinded policy EBCFA Face Coverings to allow the District to follow the DESE Guidance. This means STGRSD will continue COVID-19 safety protocols, including mask wearing, for all individuals when they are indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be required on all District transportation. When students are in outdoor setting like recess and outdoor classrooms, masks will not be required, even if distance cannot be maintained.
